Another Hot Hot Day!

Wednesday 20th August
Today we again were scrub clearing at Sister Vernes house again, this time we burned all the wood and garden waste and started clearing rooms inside to lay lino down on Friday, Was a very hot day today with no break of rain for a change! We then rested in the heat and played cardgames, hair braiding (a running theme) and generally cooled down. In the evening we had a very successful Vacation Bible School with over 30 children again, the under 8's studyed Noah, and the Over 8s Daniel and the lions den. We had a show from the older ones with some very loud roaring!
Please pray for all those receiving GCSE results on thursday and that communications get through.

Dear Liverpool gang - writing from a cold and rainy Edinburgh! Pleased to hear someone has sunshine! Have been thinking of you especially today and am writing to say hope results day went well. Have only ever needed to deal with one at a time and know that a few of you waiting for news. Take care, you are over half way now and the time will go very quickly. Enjoy the friendships and cherish the moments, can't wait to hear all about it. With love and prayers, Chris and Trevor Jones

we've just come home from a few days away and it rained every day at some point! usually the whole afternoon! so make the most of the sun and heat; you'd need it to dry you out here!! hope you are all enjoying everything, especially the vacation bible schools......and the beach, of course!!:)
sounds like you're doing some great work with clearing the 'yard' and stuff too, it sounds like something from 'scrap-heap challenge' on tv!!
love to all the team, and thanks again (and happy anniversary!) to sarah and al for being the 'mum and dad' out there while we here cant be!!
